Amid ongoing drone attacks on Ukraine and to prevent potential incidents, Moldova’s Border Police is urging citizens to exercise caution if they spot drones or their debris.
Authorities warn people not to touch, move, transport or dismantle drones or their components. The devices may contain explosive substances, electrical components or batteries that could pose a risk of fire, explosion or electric shock.
If a drone or debris is found, citizens should keep their distance and immediately call 112, then wait for the competent authorities to arrive.
People who spot a drone in flight are also advised not to attempt to intercept or destroy it, but to immediately notify emergency services.
The Border Police stressed that following these recommendations is essential to protect people’s lives, health and property.
The warning comes after a “drone-missile” crashed in an open area near Crocmaz village in Stefan Voda district on Sunday, August 9. According to specialists, the device struck a tree in a forest strip and exploded at a height of approximately 2.5 meters.
