Celebrating 33 Years of Service: The Republic of Moldova’s National Police Honored for Dedication and Progress

Yesterday marks 33 years since the creation of the National Police of the Republic of Moldova. Alongside President Maia Sandu, Prime Minister Dorin Recean congratulated the institution’s employees and presented several Government Honorary Diplomas as a token of gratitude for their impeccable service, citing the Executive Communication Directorate.

The Prime Minister highlighted the dedication and sacrifice demonstrated by the police in ensuring the peace of the country’s citizens and combating hybrid attacks, intensified in the last two years.

Additionally, the Prime Minister spoke about the police’s activities in the context of the European path of the Republic of Moldova and mentioned the contribution of the European Union, the United States, Romania, and other partners to the creation of a strong institution in the service of citizens. Thanks to external support, the police are equipped with special gear, modern vehicles, and state-of-the-art technology. As a result, the country’s police departments become more modern, and the quality of services provided to the people is on the rise.

“For the coming period, we have set two objectives – to increase citizens’ trust in the police and to reduce intervention time. You are at the center of the institutions responsible for maintaining public order and security, and from now on, we have even more work to do, including the integration of our country into the European Union,” said Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
