General education institutions in the Republic of Moldova where children from refugee families from Ukraine study will benefit from about 1,500 high-performance tablets, donated by the Government of the People’s Republic of China.

On this occasion, an official ceremony took place at the Government with the presence of the Minister of Education and Research, Anatolie Topală, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Moldova, E.S. Yan Wenbin, as well as other officials and school directors who have integrated refugee children from Ukraine.

“This donation is addressed to the educational institutions in the country where the children of Ukrainian refugees study and will facilitate access to education for these students. It is about 1,500 tablets that will be distributed as a matter of priority to schools where a large number of Ukrainian refugee students have been enrolled. Today’s event is a sign of solidarity with the Moldovan people, but also with the Ukrainian people in this complicated period that we are going through”, said Topală.

The officials reiterated the openness of both sides to continue cooperation in all fields and the belief that friendly relations will constantly develop.

“The Republic of Moldova has made every effort for refugee students from Ukraine to integrate into schools in the country in a way that is as simple and harmonious as possible for them. In its capacity as a good friend and reliable partner, China extended a helping hand to the Republic of Moldova, offering a batch of humanitarian assistance, totaling 5 million yuan”, the Chinese ambassador concluded.

These approximately 1,500 tablets will be distributed in educational institutions where refugee children from Ukraine study.
