`Clasa Viitorului` project improves education through technology – We learn differently!

The Class of the Future (Casa Viitorului) project, 4th edition, is being expanded under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Research, with financial support from USAID and Sweden through the Future and Junior Technologies Project Achievement Moldova. Other institutions will join the Class of the Future network during the year 2022.

With the slogan “We learn differently”, the Class of the Future aims at the digital transformation of education, providing a friendly and inspiring learning space with interdisciplinary pedagogical approaches and innovative, through the use of digital technologies and equipment, which favors the process of student-centered learning.

In the Future Class, students can develop the digital skills and competencies needed for the 21st century are encouraged and motivated to pursue careers in science, technology and engineering through promoting creative, collaborative, self-motivating and entrepreneurial training methods, project-based, integrating knowledge and skills in various subjects, especially: science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM).

10 institutions will be selected in the competition for the extension of the “Class of the Future” project educational institutions in the Republic of Moldova, which will benefit from financial support in the form of digital equipment high-performance and modern and flexible furniture, worth up to 180,000 MDL each.

Educational institutions will be able to choose from over 39 types of technologies and equipment used in the Classroom of the Future, including SMART interactive displays, robotics sets, sensors, microcircuits, VR glasses, 3D printers, drones, digital laboratories, cameras, panoramas, smart home devices and systems, etc. These allow for explanation of phenomena and concepts in physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, computer science, history, but also develops creativity, logic, and communication and work skills.

In Moldova, the “Class of the Future” started in 2017 with a pilot edition, inspired by the Future project Classroom Lab at European Schoolnet. Today, 42 high schools from the Clasa Viitorului network are part of the whole country and a National Center for Digital Innovation in Education. In every institution, they have friendly learning spaces with modern technologies and equipment and furniture have been arranged flexible, and teachers receive a range of training in the effective use of ICT for implementation in the educational process of interactive and innovative pedagogical methods.
