Yesterday, Defense Minister Anatolie Nosatîi discussed defense cooperation between Moldova, the United States of America (USA), and Romania with US Ambassador to Bucharest Kathleen Kavalec. The meeting was attended at the defense institution by US Ambassador to Moldova, H.E. Kent D. Logsdon.
Officials also discussed the security situation in the region, defense sector reform, and the priorities of the defense institution.
Minister Nosatîi appreciated the support provided by the USA under the Defense Capacity Building Initiative (DCBI) and the NATO Assistance Package for Moldova (Tailored Support Package) in the context of developing national defense capabilities. They also discussed the exchange of experience in the management of weapon and ammunition stocks, as well as the training of National Army soldiers in specialized schools in the USA.
