Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Cristina Gerasimov, met today in Bucharest with the President of the Romanian Senate, Nicolae Ciuca. The officials discussed Moldova’s European course and our progress in the accession process.
“We have stressed that belonging to the big family of the European Union is the top priority of the Chisinau authorities and we will continue to work so that this goal becomes a reality as soon as possible,” said Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov.
She also thanked Romania for its unconditional support, including the positive vote to launch accession negotiations.
“We received a strong message of support for our European course, but also assurances that Romania will continue to stand by the Republic of Moldova,” said Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Gherasimov.
