Spring is the perfect time to explore your native land. As far as local tourism is concerned, Moldova has an obvious advantage – attractions are located so close to each other that you can visit several in one day. We have prepared for you a selection of beautiful places, which are not inferior to the famous foreign attractions.

“Mystery balloon.”

On the territory of the Monastery of St. Elijah the Prophet, namely near the village of Mircheshty, Ungheni district, there is a huge ball with a diameter of about 20-30 meters. During the Soviet times, the ball was a military facility and served as a dome for a radar system. It is a great place for those who love mysteries. Inside the dome is good acoustics, but now this object is not used in any way.

 “Secret Garden

The Secret Garden recreation center is situated along the Chisinau-Leuseni highway, a mere 30 kilometers from the bustling capital. Nestled amidst nature’s embrace, it offers an idyllic sanctuary for those seeking respite from urban clamor. Amidst vibrant blooms, gentle breezes, melodious birdsong, and the scent of freshly mown hay, visitors can immerse themselves in the tranquil beauty of the countryside, forging a harmonious connection with the natural world.

“La Castel”

La Castel is a picturesque landscape reserve nestled near the village of Gordineshti in the Edinet district. While its name translates to “In the castle,” no physical castle stands here today, although local legend whispers of its former existence.

According to lore, ages ago, this area was home to a maiden of unparalleled beauty. She was spirited away by her forbidden lover, against her parents’ wishes, and sequestered within the castle’s walls. One fateful day, as the lover returned from a hunt, he beheld a shocking sight: the castle had vanished, swallowed whole by the earth below.
