Dorin Recean Condemns Russia’s Airstrikes on Ukraine

The Prime Minister expresses Moldova’s solidarity with the neighboring country on the X platform.

“The brutal rocket attack by Russia on Ukraine tragically led to the loss of human lives in the neighboring country. We remain united in unwavering solidarity and extend our deepest condolences to the friendly Ukrainian people. Ukraine and its people will not be defeated,” stated Prime Minister Dorin Recean.

Recall that Russia launched “99 rockets of various types” on Tuesday morning at Ukraine, of which 72 were reportedly intercepted by Ukrainian air defense, according to Valeri Zalujnîi, the chief of the Ukrainian army.

Ukrainian forces “destroyed 72 aerial targets,” including ten hypersonic Kinjal missiles, three Kalibr cruise missiles, and 59 cruise projectiles Kh-101, Kh-555, and Kh-55, as conveyed by him on Telegram.

Two people were killed and dozens injured in a residential building hit in the Solomianski district near the center, according to the latest report published by the authorities.

Another two people were killed in the Kiev region, and a third in Kharkov, the second-largest city in the east of the country, according to authorities.
