Employees of social services for children at risk in Chisinau benefit from training

Development sessions for employees of social services for children at risk in Chisinau Municipality continue. Thus, on March 14, 2023, the continuous training process of 27 employees began: social workers, specialists, managers, psychologists, and pedagogues of the social services for children at risk: Social service Day center for children at risk, Street Assistance social service, Assisted social housing social service provided by the General Directorate for the Protection of Children’s Rights in the municipality of Chisinau.

This training is carried out in the context of the implementation of a cycle of 12 training programs within the technical assistance Project “Consolidation of the child protection system, including social services addressed to children”, implemented by the Chisinau City Hall through the General Directorate for the Protection of Children’s Rights, with the support of UNICEF.

The training program “Increasing resilience to violence and bullying” lasted three days, March 14-16, 2023, during which several topics describing the phenomenon of bullying were addressed:

  • Violence, conflict, and bullying – attitudes and experiences, differences and similarities;
  • Risk factors and protection in children and adolescents, indicators for the development of resilience at different ages;
  • Principles, ways of developing programs to increase emotional resilience for teenagers;
  • Techniques for developing emotional resilience;
  • Intervention, communication with the actors of the bullying phenomenon (victim, aggressor, witnesses, parents, etc.);
  • Monitoring interventions and progress;

The 12 training programs are developed and delivered by the Institute for Family and Social Initiatives Training Association within one public procurement contract.
