The upcoming EU–Moldova Investment Conference will be officially opened by President of the Republic of Moldova Maia Sandu, European Union Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, and Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu, marking a high-level political and economic signal of Moldova’s deepening integration with the European Union.

The opening session is expected to set the tone for a strategic dialogue focused on Moldova’s investment potential, its integration into European value chains, and new opportunities created under the EU Growth Plan for Moldova. The event underscores the country’s increasing visibility as an emerging investment destination in Europe.

The conference will take place in the context of the European Commission’s Call for Expressions of Interest for investments in Moldova, which is open to companies from the EU, the EEA, and Moldova. The initiative has already attracted strong interest, with 45 project proposals submitted in its initial phase. These proposals span key sectors including energy and renewables, agri-food production, digitalisation, transport, and logistics.

Organizers say the conference will bring together business leaders, policymakers, European Commission representatives, and international financial institutions for a series of high-level discussions. The program will include round tables, sector-specific pitching sessions, and B2B matchmaking designed to connect investors with concrete opportunities on the ground.

As Moldova continues its European integration path, the event is being positioned as a key platform for strengthening economic ties and accelerating investment flows into the country.
