The tender commission, headed by Energy Minister Victor Parlicov, will announce the tender for constructing wind and photovoltaic parks with a total capacity of 165 MW this week. The amount of expected investments is about 190 million euros.
The Energy Ministry said that after the commissioning of the power plants put up for auction, the share of electricity from renewable sources will increase from 10% to 16.6%, which will make a significant contribution to the fulfillment of the national commitment to achieve 27% share of electricity from renewable sources in final consumption by 2030″.
Under the simplified participation requirements, winning bidders will receive a fixed price for the electricity produced, guaranteed for 15 years. The price offered at the auction will be lower than the ceiling price of 1.5 lei/kWh for wind power and 1.67 lei/kWh for solar power set by the National Energy Regulatory Agency.
