European Commissioner for Home Affairs Ylva Johansson is on a working visit to Chisinau today.
The visit will start with the inauguration of the “EU4Security Moldova” project, aimed at improving the operational capacities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Later, Ylva Johansson will participate in the opening of the International Forum “Children’s Online Safety,” which focuses on protecting the privacy of the most vulnerable internet users.
The official will also meet the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu.

According to the EU Delegation in Chisinau, in the second part of the day, the Commissioner will attend the 9th meeting of the EU Support Centre for Internal Security and Border Management in Moldova and hold talks with security sector officials.
At the end of her visit, Commissioner Ylva Johansson will meet Prime Minister Dorin Recean.
