The Republic of Moldova was ranked seventh at Eurovision 2022. Zdob si Zdub and the Advahov brothers represented our country this year and were highly appreciated by the public, being the second most voted country!
Specifically, Moldova received a total of 14 jury points. The Netherlands gave us two, Norway two, Greece six, Armenia one, and Italy five. We did not receive any points from the other countries, and the audience was more generous and gave us 239 points.
As expected, Ukraine won the ESC 2022 this year. Representatives of the neighboring country were the bookmakers’ favorites, followed by the Swedes and the British. Bookmakers’ predictions have come true.
Eurovision 2022 took place this year in Turin, Italy, on May 10-14, 2022. In the grand final, 25 countries fought for the trophy of the prestigious competition.
The band Zdob si Zdub, who represented Moldova together with the Advahov brothers, entered the Book of Records Eurovision Song Contest due to the fact that it is the only band in the history of this contest that reached the Eurovision final three times in three different decades.
