Exploring Innovative Methods: Engage in Reading Activities and Promote the Cult of Books

The municipal library “Bogdan Petriceicu Hașdeu” is organizing the 11th edition of the Summer Colloquiums, which will take place from June 27th to June 30th, 2023. The theme of this year’s edition is “The Book from Within and from One Side.” The event will share best practices and innovative methods for promoting a reading culture and increasing interest in quality activities among the residents of Chișinău.

During the four days, a series of activities will take place, including:

• Roundtable discussion on “Funding and Management of Information Resources.”
• Presentation of the reading barometer study “Reading Consumption of Readers.”
• Talk-show on “Creating and Organizing Reading Services.”
• Launch of the reading club “Forzaț.”
• Exhibition of posters from reading clubs, literary circles, and workshops.
• Discussions on the book “Biblioteca” by Mircea V. Ciobanu.

Additionally, attendees will be delighted with a musical and artistic performance. The event will take place in multiple spaces, with the presence of librarians, poets, literary critics, and artists.
