Farewell visit between Igor Grosu and Kestutis Kudzmanas

Lithuania remains a firm supporter of the European aspirations of the Republic of Moldova. Such statements were made by the Lithuanian ambassador in Chisinau, Kestutis Kudzmanas, with the President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, during today’s meeting, August 5. The visit coincided with the end of his mandate in our country.

The President of the Legislature states that, during his mandate, the Lithuanian ambassador in Chisinau distinguished himself through dozens of projects already implemented in our country, which is why he called him “a true friend of Moldova”.

“I had a farewell meeting with the ambassador of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Moldova, Kestutis Kudzmanas, a good friend and promoter of our country’s interests. I thanked His Excellency for his work and contribution to the development of the Republic of Moldova. The mandate of Mr. Kudzmanas is notable for dozens of important projects already completed in the Republic of Moldova and others that are ongoing. Lithuania is an example in many key sectors, such as energy efficiency and independence, combating disinformation, areas that today are of strategic importance for our country, in a very difficult geopolitical context. We highly appreciate the assistance provided to Moldova in the implementation of structural reforms at the national level and we will continue to collaborate just as closely with Lithuania. I was assured that Lithuania remains a firm supporter of the European aspirations of the Republic of Moldova and, on this occasion, I reiterated the gratitude of our people for the support of Lithuania in obtaining the status of a candidate country for EU accession”, said Grosu.

We specify that, for now, it is not known who will replace Kestutis Kudzmanas in the position of ambassador of Lithuania to the Republic of Moldova.
