Residents of Cahul and Vulcanesti districts will benefit from improved water supply services and modern sewerage systems. The ratification of the Financing Agreement with the International Development Association for the implementation of the “Security of Water Supply and Sanitation” project was approved at first reading by the Parliament.
According to the document, the Republic of Moldova will receive a grant of 1.55 million euros and will contract an external state loan of 44.1 million euros. The money will be used to provide access to water supply and sanitation services in several localities of the country.
Also, in the municipalities of Soroca and Comrat, the wastewater infrastructures will be extended and improved.
The financing agreement with the International Development Association for the implementation of the Project “Security of water supply and sanitation in Moldova” was signed on April 21.
