Five Moldovan schools from the Model Schools Network will receive state-of-the-art interactive tables worth over one million lei, donated by an electronic equipment company. Education and Research Minister Dan Perciun presented the functionalities of these tables and their potential to enhance the teaching process at an event.
The Model Schools Network project, launched by the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) in 2023, initially selected 35 schools for modernization, with an investment of approximately 2 million euros. Minister Perciun stated that the project could include up to 90 schools. “In spring last year, we launched the Moldova for Education partnership to engage the private sector in modernizing educational institutions. Among the 13 companies contributing donations and investments is Huawei, which we deeply thank for their support. Five schools will now receive advanced interactive tables, one of the most sophisticated tools available, valued at over one million lei,” Perciun said.
Huawei Moldova Director Guo Min emphasized the importance of investing in education to secure a prosperous future. “We actively support efforts to promote digital education and develop digital skills among youth. We proudly contribute to Moldova’s educational modernization through our innovative technologies,” Guo Min stated.
