France offers Moldova a credit of 60 million euros for energy and trains

Moldova borrows 60 million from the French. The government is to sign an agreement with the French Development Agency in this regard.

The financial resources will be intended for budgetary support and the implementation of reforms in the energy and railway sectors. Such a draft decision was approved by the Government on Wednesday.

On behalf of our country, the Agreement will be initialed by the Minister of Finance, Dumitru Budianschi. The loan will be contracted for 15 years, including a 5-year grace period, and will be disbursed in one installment.

The agreement is to be ratified by the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova. The contract is valid from the day the French side receives the legal opinion of the Moldovan side.
