FSB chief scares Moldova with war: NATO draws country into military confrontation with Russia and Belarus.

“NATO draws Moldova into a military confrontation with Russia and Belarus.” The head of Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), Alexandr Bortnikov, made the statement.

The FSB director spoke about Moldova at a meeting of security organizations within the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The meeting was in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

“We see how the instruments of external control work, taking Moldova as an example. (…) The alliance is drawing Moldova into a military confrontation with Russia and Belarus,” Bortnikov said.

According to the Russian official, the Moldovan authorities have lost political independence.

According to officials in Chisinau and international reports, Russia is using instruments of hybrid warfare to destabilize the Republic of Moldova. In the autumn of 2023, Maia Sandu announced that our country had prevented an attempted military coup with the involvement of paramilitaries from the Wagner group.
