Import duties and quotas to the European Union have been suspended for another year for Moldovan producers. The decision was approved and announced by the EU Council.
“By renewing these measures, the EU will continue to support and encourage trade flows from Ukraine to the EU and the rest of the world and will help set the conditions for stronger economic and trade relations.
Russia’s unprovoked and unjustified war of aggression against Ukraine also continues to have a negative impact on Moldova’s ability to trade with the rest of the world. The renewal of these measures will help maintain the conditions necessary to allow the Republic of Moldova to continue its trade relations with the EU and the rest of the world through the EU,” states the note published by the Council.
