Government announces compensation of up to 100% of diesel excise duty value

Excise duties on diesel used in 2022 by small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises will be compensated in the amount of up to 100%. The decision was announced by Prime Minister Natalia GavriliČ›a, during a working meeting with representatives of a farmers ‘and farmers’ association, organized at the government, writes diez.md.

According to a government statement, large agricultural producers will benefit from compensations in the amount of 30% or 894 lei / ton, and small and medium enterprises will benefit from compensation of excise up to 100% or 2980 lei / ton. The excise duty will be granted retroactively, according to the invoices, starting with January 1, and almost 14,000 companies will benefit from the compensations. The total amount for small, medium and large producers will be about 277 million lei.

Gavrilița wanted to mention that the agricultural field remains a priority: “We are a government that supports farmers. This was very clear when we increased the agricultural subsidy fund by 60%. Depending on the budget revenues and the resources we manage to mobilize on the part of external partners, we will continue this policy of supporting farmers ”.

The parties discussed a number of issues, and pledged to continue the dialogue to identify new support mechanisms for the benefit of the agricultural business.
