Igor Zaharov appointed Advisor to the President of Moldova for European Affairs and Strategic Communications

Igor Zaharov was appointed as the adviser to the Moldovan President for European Affairs and Strategic Communication. The official decree, signed by the head of state, Maia Sandu, specifies that he will assume his new role starting February 26.

Igor Zaharov previously served as an advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration since March 2023. Before that, he held a position at the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the Republic of Moldova, where he managed communication and media affairs.

In another development outlined in the same decree signed on January 30 by the Moldovan President, Olga RoÅŸca, the current adviser to the president for foreign affairs and strategic communication, will transition into the role of adviser specifically focused on foreign policy.
