“These regulations do not apply in August of the calendar year, on public holidays established by Georgian legislation, on Saturdays and Sundays, and when carrying out transport operations on the detour (alternative) roads around Tbilisi. Regarding passenger transport, the Tbilisi City Hall has established exceptions for carrying out transport operations by regular services according to the pre-established timetable.

In this case, transport operators must send the information on the vehicle used and its registration number to the address of the Tbilisi bus station administration they serve. Otherwise, transport operators will be fined,” the NMTA press release states.
