Moldova continues to be affected by inflation. Producer prices for agricultural products in 2022 increased by 13.6% compared to 2021, informs the National Bureau of Statistics. Producer prices for vegetable products increased by 13.2%, and for final products, they increased by 16%.
Thus, in 2022, the most expensive food crops (100.4%), fruit trees (83.2%), and vegetables (55.2%) increased in price. Also, last year the price of eggs increased by 26%.
The price of beef and pork increased by more than 18%.
