Investors from Romania Show Increasing Interest in Moldova

Republica Moldova is becoming increasingly attractive for Romanian investors, according to a statement made by Dan Nuțiu, the President of the Association of Investors from Romania in the Republic of Moldova, during a press conference where the “Business Barometer of the Republic of Moldova” was presented.

“At the moment, the Romanian investors we have direct contact with are showing growing interest in the Moldovan market. I can say that since the launch of the association, we have not received as many membership requests from new companies coming to the Republic of Moldova. This trend is becoming more pronounced and evident through the expressed and transmitted interest,” stated the President of the Association of Investors from Romania in the Republic of Moldova.

Dan Nuțiu welcomed Clementina Ion, Counselor Minister at the Embassy of Romania in Chisinau, emphasizing her continuous support and valuable contribution to the association’s work.

Emmanuel Skoulios, President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry France-Moldova, also declared during the same press conference that the investment climate in the Republic of Moldova is becoming increasingly attractive for foreign businesspeople. He mentioned that the indicators presented in the second edition of the “Business Barometer of the Republic of Moldova” are encouraging and can be used as arguments to convince even more investors.

“Clearly, the results of the first survey were what they were, but today we are here to present the results of the second survey, and we see a positive trend. Although many indicators of the barometer are still far from being in the green, particularly in terms of human resources, inflation, and rising prices, we observe many positive tendencies. We are on the right track. This barometer, this survey, demonstrates the resilience of companies in the Republic of Moldova and their desire to continue operating here and strengthen their businesses,” stated Emmanuel Skoulios.

He further added that the main objective of these actions is to attract foreign investors to the Republic of Moldova.

“We are transmitting positive signals to potential new investors. On July 4th, we will travel to Bucharest, where the Chamber of Commerce France-Moldova, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce France-Romania, will organize, within the Franco-Romanian Economic Forum, a module dedicated to the Republic of Moldova. The Minister of Economy, Dumitru Alaiba, will also be present at this module. The purpose of this event is to attract those investors present in the Romanian market to come to the Republic of Moldova,” added Emmanuel Skoulios.
