Ion Ceban: We want Chisinau to become one of the greenest Capitals in Europe

More than 60 thousand trees are to be planted in the Capital until the end of November. The statement was made by the capital’s mayor Ion Ceban, who participated in the 2022 edition of the Tree Planting Campaign. The start of the event was given by Chisinau City Hall last Saturday.

“We are still working on this in the coming weeks. We invite everyone who is available to help us plant, green Chisinau. Our objective for these weeks is to plant over 60 thousand trees, and the major objective is for the municipality of Chisinau to become one of the greenest capitals in Europe. That doesn’t just mean afforestation and trees, but that means waste management, water quality and much more,” declared Ion Ceban.

This week, guests from across the Prut also came to plant the trees. The president of the Buzau County Council, Petre Emanoil Neagu, was with the local authorities from Chisinau.
