Israeli authorities have completed the processing of the case concerning fugitive politician Ilan Shor, who was convicted in the Republic of Moldova for the embezzlement of the banking system. The revelation was made by Israel’s Foreign Minister, Gideon Moshe Sa’ar, during an official visit to Chisinau.
The official noted that Shor no longer resides in Israel. At the same time, the diplomat hinted that the businessman, sought by Moldovan prosecutors, is unlikely to return to the country due to his legal troubles.
“Mr. Shor no longer lives in Israel. Our Ministry of Justice has completed the processing of his case at the request of the Moldovan authorities. It is probably no coincidence that he is no longer coming to Israel,” the official concluded.
