President Maia Sandu had phone discussions focused on bilateral relations and the European path of the Republic of Moldova with the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, the Prime Minister of Portugal, Antonio Costa, and the Prime Minister of Finland, Petteri Orpo, as reported by TRIBUNA.
With President Klaus Iohannis, the head of state discussed the European agenda, the implementation of reforms, transportation infrastructure projects, and electric interconnection projects.
During the discussions with the Portuguese Prime Minister, the President emphasized that 2023 marked a new momentum in bilateral relations, with several cooperation agreements signed, including in the economic field.
In the conversation with the Finnish Prime Minister, Petteri Orpo, President Maia Sandu highlighted the Republic of Moldova’s desire to continue strengthening bilateral ties with Finland, especially in the context of our country’s aspirations to join the European Union.
