On Tuesday 9 April, Maia Sandu, the Head of State, met with Ladislav Hamran, the President of Eurojust, an EU institution.
During the meeting, officials discussed the importance of enhancing operational judicial cooperation with both Eurojust and EU Member States. This is a crucial element in the EU accession process.
The Head of State emphasised that improved cooperation with European institutions would contribute to a more effective fight against cross-border crime and intensify efforts against organised crime. The role of joint investigation teams, with the participation of Moldovan prosecutors, was also highlighted.
