At the invitation of the Secretary-General of the United Nations (UN), António Guterres, the head of state begins her visit to New York today to participate in the high-level segment of the 78th session of the General Assembly.
The central theme of the current session of the General Assembly is “Rebuilding Trust and Revitalizing Global Solidarity: Accelerating Action on the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals for Peace, Prosperity, Progress, and Sustainability for All.”
From September 18th to 20th, the head of state will participate in the discussions at the UN General Assembly. The visit’s program will also include participation in the Summit on Sustainable Development Goals, among other activities. In the margins of her participation in the high-level segment of the General Assembly, the President will have a series of bilateral meetings.
