Maia Sandu’s message on Romania’s National Day

The president came with congratulations on the occasion of Romania’s National Day, which we will celebrate on December 1. Maia Sandu had a message of gratitude for the neighboring country, which offered us help several times.

“Romania is loved here, in the Republic of Moldova. For the shoulder, we can rely on when it’s hard for us, for the immense and unconditional help offered to our citizens, and for the strong support given to the accession of the Republic of Moldova to the European Union. The list is long – for kindergartens, school minibusses, student scholarships, fuel, vaccines, humanitarian aid, support for the modernization of villages, easier communication with loved ones due to the elimination of roaming charges, the support brought to the culture of the Republic of Moldova and the construction of bridges that tie up. And for light, at a time when Russian missiles bring darkness to the region,” said Maia Sandu.

The president also pointed out that Romania is loved in the Republic of Moldova for the Romanian language, in which I grew up in a “parental home”, for the common history – a history of courage and the fight for freedom.

“Today, with war upon us, it is more important than ever that we stick together. Together, let’s strengthen democracy, fight propaganda and division, improve people’s living conditions, and give them security. Moldova looks towards Romania with gratitude and hope. We are confident that we are on the right path and that we will succeed in bringing Europe home to us, including with Romania’s help,” Sandu announced.
