“On November 15, 2020, three years ago, together with the citizens, we achieved an important victory!” This message was conveyed by the head of state, Maia Sandu, on the occasion of the third anniversary of the victory in the presidential elections.
The official emphasized that the victory three years ago belonged to the citizens at home and abroad who believed in Moldova.
“It was a victory not only against a corrupt regime that blocked any chance of Moldova’s development but also a victory for a better future, a victory of optimism in the face of despair, a victory of Moldovans’ unity, and our power to decide our fate,” wrote Maia Sandu on a social network.

The President noted that despite an unfair fight, despite any obstacles, Moldovans mobilized like never before, creating an unbeatable unity.
“Together, we embarked on a long and challenging journey to create a truly free, European state that takes care of all its citizens. Victory was not a destination but a beginning. We will move forward to fulfill the commitments we have made and to leave a better Moldova for our children and young people,” emphasized Maia Sandu.
On December 24, 2020, Maia Sandu was inaugurated as the President of the Republic of Moldova after the victory on November 15, 2020, in the second round of the presidential elections.
