Only Two Days Left to Register for Mail-In Voting Ahead of Moldova’s September 28, 2025, Parliamentary Elections, Announces Central Electoral Commission (CEC).
As of August 12, 2025, around 1,900 citizens have registered, most from the U.S. (1,025 people) and Canada (507 people).
The Commission urges Moldovan citizens with voting rights—who will be located in one of the following countries during the election period: the United States, Canada, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Japan, South Korea, Australia, or New Zealand—to register for mail-in voting within the next two days.
Mail-in voting registration is a mandatory procedure that allows voters to express their intention to vote abroad using postal or courier services. The purpose is to determine how many voters opt for this alternative voting method and to compile electoral lists specifically for mail-in ballots.
