Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popsoi convened a meeting in Oslo with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway, Espen Barth Eide. The officials conversed about bilateral collaboration, Norway’s contributions to Moldova’s advancement, the advancement of reforms implemented by our country, and the regional situation.
“During our conversation, we discussed the establishing possibility of a diplomatic office in Chisinau. The Norwegian counterpart mentioned that the creation of this office shortly is an endorsement of Moldova and the country’s European path. I thanked the Foreign Minister for that Norway stands by the Republic of Moldova on the road to the European Union. On 6-7 May, with President Maia Sandu, I was in Oslo on a state visit to the Kingdom of Norway. It is the first state visit of the President of the Republic of Moldova to Norway. This first visit is an excellent opportunity to bring the cooperation between Moldova and Norway to a new level, “Mihai Popsoi wrote on his Facebook page.
