Moldovan judo athlete Mihail Latyshev has successfully qualified for the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris. He won the gold medal in the 81 kg weight category at the World Championships held in Morocco. This triumph allowed the athlete to secure his place at the main sporting event of the quadrennium.
The Moldovan national judo team coach, Valeriu Duminica, shared the news on his Facebook page, noting the importance of this victory for the whole team.
Valeriu Duminica also said that the national team already has four qualified athletes who will represent Moldova in Paris: Denis Vieru, Petru Pelivan, Adil Osmanov, and Mihail Latyshev.
