Yesterday, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration, Oleg Serebrian, held a crucial working meeting with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) resident representative in the Republic of Moldova, Mrs. Daniela Gasparikova.
The central topic of the discussions revolved around assistance projects implemented on both banks of the Dniester River, projects aimed at eliminating disparities and sectorally reintegrating both sides of the Dniester. Among the priority areas outlined were education, the economy, social issues, ecology, energy, human rights, gender dimension integration, and others.
During the meeting, the fruitful collaboration between UNDP and the Reintegration Policy Office was emphasized, focusing on mutual openness to strengthen this collaboration. The Moldovan side highlighted the need for continuous coordination of projects and activities in the Transnistrian region, with a particular emphasis on intervention with support measures to contribute to the settlement process.

Deputy Prime Minister Serebrian underscored the importance of joint efforts to eliminate barriers and build trust between the two sides of the Dniester. In this regard, the need for a comprehensive approach covering multiple aspects of social and economic life in the region was emphasized.
Both officials reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the partnership. They expressed optimism about the positive results that can be achieved through close collaboration between the Republic of Moldova and UNDP regarding sustainable development and the reintegration of the Transnistrian region.
