The Republic of Moldova ranks among the top countries where Romanian authorities will open the most polling stations abroad for the 2025 Romanian presidential elections. According to Romania’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it will open 64 polling stations in Moldova.
Other countries with a significant Romanian diaspora will host even more polling stations:
- Italy and Malta – 161
- Spain – 147
- United Kingdom – 108
- France and Monaco – 69
- United States – 50
- Belgium – 29
- Netherlands – 23
Romanian authorities relocated 29 polling stations abroad, compared to the locations used for the 2024 presidential and parliamentary elections. The decision followed consultations with Romanian citizens living overseas to improve accessibility and boost voter turnout, Antena3 reported.

Meanwhile, Romania will not open polling stations in several countries due to security or logistical concerns, including:
