The Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization (MDED) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Greece to deepen bilateral cooperation on executing the European Union Growth Plan for Moldova.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Doina Nistor, together with Greek Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Theoharis Theoharis, signed the document.
According to the MDED, the memorandum establishes practical cooperation in several critical areas: strengthening Moldova’s institutional and administrative capacity to implement the EU Growth Plan, drawing on Greece’s expertise in project development and management via the GrowthFund – Project Preparation Facility, expanding Moldova’s capability to secure European funding, and launching key projects for economic growth.

“This agreement opens a new phase in Moldova–Greece relations and provides economic support for implementing the EU Growth Plan. Greece’s expertise in preparing and executing major investment projects helps us accelerate reforms, attract more European funds, and deliver tangible benefits to citizens and the business community. Together with our European partners, we are building a stronger, more competitive economy, closer to the European Union,” stated Doina Nistor.
The memorandum will remain effective for an initial two-year term and automatically renew, directing collaboration between the two nations in strategic sectors of economic modernization and Moldova’s alignment with European standards.
