Norway will support the Republic of Moldova in the process of modernizing its educational system. The prospects of collaboration were discussed by the Minister of Education in Chișinău, Dan Perciun, with representatives of the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee of the Norwegian Parliament during their working visit to Chișinău.
“The European integration of the Republic of Moldova is the only viable solution for the country’s development, with education being a priority in aligning with EU standards. I presented the concept of the Network of Model Schools – modern institutions equipped at the highest level, and I invited the Norwegian side to contribute to the rehabilitation of educational institutions in our country,” emphasized the minister.
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to the Republic of Moldova, Siri Barry, also participated in the meeting.
Members of the delegation appreciated the ministry’s initiatives regarding the strengthening of school infrastructure, the initial and continuous training of teaching and managerial staff, and aligning education with the requirements and needs of the labor market from the perspective of sustainable development.
