Moldova and Ukraine strengthen dialogue on Transnistrian settlement and maintaining an “atmosphere of security”

The Transnistrian settlement process and the current dynamics of the dialogue between Chisinau and Tiraspol were discussed today by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee for Monitoring and Control of the Implementation of the Reintegration Policy, Roman Rosca, with the Ambassador with Special Missions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Paun Rohovei.

Discussions focused on topical issues such as access to education for the inhabitants of the Transnistrian region and the need to boost reintegration policies in light of the opportunities offered by the status of candidate countries for accession to the European Union.

The participants in the dialogue stressed their joint commitment to strengthen dialogue and coordination on issues related to the Transnistrian file to maintain an atmosphere of security, solve the most pressing problems of the inhabitants on both sides of the Dniester, and strengthen the climate conducive to achieving the strategic goal of the reunification of the country.
