Moldova and UNDP Lead the Way in Supporting Socio-Economic Inclusion for Ukrainian Refugees

For over a year, international and local partners in Moldova have joined forces to support the socio-economic inclusion of refugees from Ukraine. To facilitate coordination, the State Chancellery and UNDP lead the Working Group on Livelihoods and Inclusion, which is part of the Coordinating Forum for Refugees.

Members of the working group have supported over 4,300 refugees and host community members in accessing decent jobs or entrepreneurship opportunities. To learn more about the results of the working group’s activities, check out the video provided.

The efforts of the working group have helped to promote the economic empowerment and social inclusion of refugees in Moldova. By providing access to job opportunities and entrepreneurship training, refugees have been able to rebuild their lives and contribute to their new communities. The State Chancellery and UNDP are committed to continuing this important work and supporting the integration of refugees into Moldovan society.
