Moldova, for the Register of Damages Caused by Russia’s Aggression Against Ukraine

The Republic of Moldova joins the Extended Partial Agreement on the Register of Damage Caused by the Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, adopted by the Resolution of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.

A bill reflecting this was voted in the second reading by Parliament on December 28. The impact analysis on the legislative website emphasizes that Moldova’s non-accession to the damage register would negatively impact the country’s image and foreign policy.

The legislation highlights the ongoing support for Ukraine and our country’s solidarity in the context of Russian aggression against Ukraine.

The project aims for Moldova to become a participating member in 2024, with a contribution ranging between 25,000 and 30,000 euros for the year 2024.
