Moldova has won its third bronze medal: Serghei Tarnovschi secured third place in the canoe sprint

Moldovan Serghei Tarnovschi won the bronze medal in the 1000-meter canoe sprint. He achieved a time of 3:44.68.

Serghei Tarnovschi’s coach is Nicolae Juravschi, the President of the National Olympic Committee.

We note that this is the third medal won by Moldovan athletes at the Paris Olympics. Previously, judokas Denis Vieru and Adil Osmanov also secured bronze medals.

Today, the tandem of Maria Olarasu and Daniela Cociu also competed. They reached the final but finished in 7th place, recording a time of 1:56.96 in the 500-meter double sprint final. At the Tokyo Olympics, Victor Reneiski’s students also placed 7th.
