Moldova will receive technical and financial assistance from Germany

The Government of the Federal Republic of Germany will provide the Government of the Republic of Moldova with non-reimbursable technical and financial assistance worth 33.7 million euros. The Chisinau executive voted today to start negotiations and approve the signing of two agreements in this regard, notes realitatea.md.

Thus, 23 million euros would be provided for the implementation of three ongoing projects:

  • “Supporting social and communal infrastructure III”,
  • “Drinking water supply and sewerage system, Moldova Centru, VPT, phase 3”,
  • “Drinking water supply and sewerage system, Moldova Centru, VPT, phase 3, support measures”.

Following the realization of the projects, the drinking water supply and sewerage system will be extended, ensuring the connection of several localities to the main aqueduct Chisinau-Calarasi-Straseni.

“The government of the Federal Republic of Germany will also provide technical assistance, totaling 10.7 million euros. The assistance will cover two projects – 2.5 million euros for “Political Counseling of the Republic of Moldova” and 8.2 million euros for “Strong enterprises and municipalities for the Republic of Moldova”. The deadline for capitalizing all resources is November 25th, 2026 “.

It should be mentioned that the Moldovan-German bilateral negotiations on providing assistance for the technical and financial development of the Republic of Moldova, for the years 2021-2022, took place on November 25th, 2021.
