Moldova plans to borrow 36.2 million euros to invest in its medical system. During today’s Parliamentary Commission for Economy, Budget, and Finance meeting, they discussed ratifying the loan agreement between Moldova and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development for the Modernization and Improvement of Rehabilitation Services project.
The 36.2 million euro loan aims to improve the quality and accessibility of rehabilitation services for adults and children. Authorities will focus on enhancing medical services at all levels of healthcare for patients who have suffered a stroke or heart attack.
As part of this initiative, public healthcare institutions will develop or modernize departments with high-performance medical devices for these patients. Furthermore, a financial resources portion will go toward disease prevention efforts.
Moldova signed the loan agreement for the Modernization and Improvement of Rehabilitation Services project in Chisinau on June 17, 2024.
