The French Development Agency (AFD) will provide Moldova with financial support for strengthening the forestry sector. The Moldovan Government signed the Credit Facility Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and AFD.
The document provides for a loan of 40 million euros. In addition, AFD will offer a grant of €1.2 million for technical assistance. The financial resources are intended to finance the needs of the state budget in the implementation of forestry reforms.
The credit facility agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the French Development Agency will implement the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Moldova and AFD, signed on 17 October 2023, under the Support Platform for Moldova.
