Moldova will join the International Solar Alliance

Moldova will join the International Solar Alliance (ISA). The Commission for Foreign Policy and European Integration members approved the signing of the agreement.

“In its work, the ISA is guided by the “Towards 1000″ strategy, which aims to attract 1 trillion dollars of investments in the solar energy sector by 2030. Accordingly, our country’s membership in the International Solar Energy Alliance will contribute to attracting investment in renewable energy production and promoting innovative solar energy technologies,” the press release of the Parliament informs.

By 2030, the authorities intend to increase the share of electricity from renewable sources from 10% to 30%.

The President of France and the Prime Minister of India established the International Solar Alliance in 2015. Initially, 16 countries signed the agreement.
