Moldova will receive a $2.1 million grant from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development to modernize and improve rehabilitation medical services, following approval by the Cabinet of Ministers.
The grant will help streamline services for patients at high risk of cardiovascular diseases, such as stroke and myocardial infarction. The project also includes developing national protocols for the prevention and management of non-communicable diseases, training multidisciplinary teams in primary care, expanding digital health and telemedicine programs, conducting public awareness campaigns, and drafting guidelines and procedures for integrating rehabilitation services and monitoring patients after strokes and heart conditions.
