Moldovan Authorities are taking new measures to protect passengers and cargo carried by airplanes

Moldova’s government has introduced new measures to protect passengers and goods transported by air.

On 15 January, the cabinet of ministers approved amendments to the Law on Civil Liability and the requirements for insuring air operators and airship operators to align national regulations with international standards.

The proposed amendments increase the minimum insurance coverage for passenger protection in accidents, flight delays and luggage, postal items, and lost or damaged goods. “These changes will provide citizens with greater financial protection against risks associated with air transport,” the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development stated.
