Moldovan Canoeists Deliver Strong Results at World Championships in Poznan

Moldovan canoeists achieved notable results at the Canoe Sprint World Championships in Poznan, Poland, according to the Sports Center for Training of National Teams.

The country’s best result was recorded by Serghei Tarnovschi, who finished fourth in the men’s C1 1000-meter final with a time of 4:08.74.

The race was won by Czech paddler Martin Fuksa in 4:07.44, followed by Hungary’s Daniel Fejes, who recorded the same time. Neutral athlete Zakhar Petrov took bronze with 4:07.46.

Moldovan Women Finish Sixth

In the women’s competition, the best result came from the Elena Glizan/Daniela Cociu duo, who finished sixth in the C2 500-meter event with a time of 2:04.22.

Elena Glizan also competed in the C1 5000-meter event, finishing eighth with a time of 32:41.15.

In the men’s C2 500-meter event, Mihai Chihaia and Oleg Tarnovschi finished seventh, clocking 1:46.25.
